No recommendations, or too many negatives

The usual causes and quick fixes.

Two of the most common "is this working?" moments, and what to check.

No recommendations

Usually one of:

  • Too little data, or the cadence hasn't run yet (check Last Run).

  • Conversion tracking or targets missing, so the money-based rules can't fire.

  • The terms already exist as keywords or negatives (look for the "exists" statuses).

  • Everything is currently Pending or Monitor - real, but not yet enough signal.

Fix: confirm conversion tracking and a target are set, check the cadence and Last Run, and give a new campaign a cycle to gather data.

Too many negatives

Almost always the flag-for-negative list - a broad junk word that's too aggressive for this client.

  1. Open client settings and review the flag-for-negative list.

  2. Remove or narrow any word that's actually legitimate for this business.

  3. Remember ambiguous service words should be opt-in, not defaults.

Example. A negative flood on a recruitment client usually traces back to "jobs" or "careers" being flagged - words that are core revenue there. Remove them and the flood stops. (The flag-rate guard holds suspected floods for review automatically, but the list still needs fixing.)
